By playing golf, children learn self-control, sharing and respect for rules and regulations, while having fun in the heart of nature. The instructors at the Golf Bastide de la Salette golf school offer a range of teaching options throughout the year, as well as vacation courses, an ideal way to teach children about eco-responsibility and biodiversity in a fun and sporting way.
The Golf Academy
For several years now, the Golf Bastide de la Salette golf school in Marseille has been one of the most dynamic and successful in France. Run and supervised for over 20 years by our independent teachers, the school welcomes between 250 and 300 youngsters aged 5 to 18.
As its name suggests, the school introduces ALL youngsters to the game of golf. Each September, tests are organized to divide the children into homogeneous groups by age and level. Our teaching methods are fun and adapted to enable students to perform while having fun.
Throughout the year, at the Bastide de la Salette Golf Club, which boasts all the facilities and teaching aids necessary for safe instruction, children learn and perfect their golf skills. An all-round outdoor sport, golf combines physical activity, precision, concentration and strategy. The fundamentals of respect for the environment will also be passed on to ensure comprehensive teaching. Golf develops self-confidence, body control, sharing, concentration and a taste for challenge.
Whether they join the golf school teams, play golf as a hobby, or play through their school, children will experience the joys of a healthy, all-round sport, recommended by all for its physical benefits.
Lessons take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays or Sundays for 1h30 (to 2h depending on level) and are organized by level group. During all school vacations, our instructors offer training courses from Monday to Friday, from 10.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Enrolments are made at reception, according to the schedule proposed by each instructor.
Back to school 2024/2025
Registration for the 2024/2025 golf school will take place at Golf Bastide de la Salette:
Wednesday September 11 at 2:00 pm
Saturday September 14 at 2:00 pm
The golf school will resume the following week.

Competitions and Awards
Every first Monday of the school vacations, a free ranking competition is organized over 9 or 18 holes for all levels. This competition is supervised by golf teachers and volunteers from the Sports Association. It is not compulsory, but gives children the chance to meet each other in a friendly atmosphere. The golf school party takes place on the Saturday at the end of the school year, with lots of prizes and partners, much to the children’s delight.
The Golf Bastide de la Salette Golf School is ranked first, out of over 600 clubs, in the national development merit scheme, which rewards the number and progression of children’s rankings, and 5th in the national performance merit scheme, which rewards results in federal competitions, such as youth grand prix, team and individual French championships.
Rates
The annual Golf School fee is €380, excluding the French Golf Federation license (€23) and subscription to the Golf Sports Association (€25).
Baby golf, for children aged 5 to 6, costs €260, as one hour of instruction is provided per week. Enrolment in baby golf is subject to approval by the instructors during a test.
School vacation course rates: 155€ per week + 65€ for lunches provided by the golf restaurant.
Balls, clubs and all initial equipment can be loaned at the beginning of the year, but afterwards clubs, bags and balls can be purchased from the proshop or any specialist sports store.
Children's and junior golf courses during school vacations
Every school vacation, our instructors organize children’s and junior golf clinics for beginners and advanced players.
Courses take place during all school vacations 2024/2025 – zone B.
Golf course format: Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Price: 155€ per week + 55€ for lunches (sandwich formula Monday lunchtime)
